The “Labirinto” installation was displayed in the main public parks of the city of São Paulo: Ibirapuera, Villa Lobos, da Juventude, and Ecológico do Tietê.
The installation was built using 100 metric tons of recyclable materials, forming a 400-square-meter geometric maze featuring acrylic mirrors and two entry points for the public to navigate inside.
All materials used in the exhibitions were sourced from the city’s recycling cooperatives and later returned. In other words, nothing was wasted. I also organized guided tours for the visually impaired, since this work has the ability to engage other senses such as touch, smell, and hearing.
Visitors were invited to enter the maze in search of the exit among the walls of solid waste, which brought them face-to-face with the trash they produce.
